Fair play
Everyone races the same stage on the same day, so a time only means something if it was set honestly. These are the rules that protect it.
Why it matters
RALLY52 is built around one idea: a single road that every player drives. The leaderboard is the whole point, so we put real effort into keeping it trustworthy for the people who drive it clean.
What is not allowed
Cheating
Using any tool, script or trick to get a result that driving alone would not give you.
Modifying the game
Changing the game’s code or data in your browser to alter how it behaves.
Automated inputs
Bots, macros or scripts that drive for you or send inputs.
Exploiting bugs
Using a bug to set a time. If you find one, please report it instead.
Tampering with servers
Attempting to interfere with how times are recorded, stored or checked.
Extra accounts
One account per person. Racing for the leaderboard on several accounts to get more attempts or more places isn’t allowed. Family members and classmates sharing a computer or a network are fine.
Offensive usernames
Names that are offensive, impersonate someone, or claim to be staff.
How runs are checked
Every run is checked. When you finish a stage, the game records your time and result along with a replay of the drive, which is the car’s position over time. We use that information to check that a run is possible and to keep the leaderboards fair. The replay of your best time on a stage can also be raced as a ghost by other players, which is one more reason cheating tends to get noticed.
Each device can start a limited number of ranked attempts at a stage, whichever accounts it uses (enough for a whole family), and a limited number of new accounts a day. A podium time from a brand-new account that is linked to another account on the same stage is checked by a person before it shows on the leaderboard.
Guests can play too. Guest runs use an anonymous ID with no name or email, and they are checked in the same way. You can read exactly what we collect and why in the privacy policy.
What happens if rules are broken
We may remove times, reset progress, or ban accounts that break these rules. That includes Rally Pass accounts, and payments are not refunded when an account is closed for breaking the rules. We may also rename or remove any username. The full wording is in the terms of use.
Report a problem
If you think a time on the leaderboard is not legitimate, or you have found a bug that can be exploited, email hello@rally52.com with the stage number, the username, and anything you noticed. You can also use Menu → Report a bug inside the game. If you think we have made a mistake with your own account or times, email us too and we will look at it.
